The Helix project is a 10-year programme which will see the creation of a brand new eco park in Falkirk. The 300 hectare park will provide open access to woodlands, walking paths, cycleways and water features. It will include the installation of a new canal link which will connect lowland canals with Grangemouth, and so improve navigation on the Forth and Clyde Canal. The Helix is being driven by a partnership of Falkirk Council, British Waterways Scotland and Central Scotland Forest Trust. The project has already secured £25 million from The Big Lottery “Living Landmarks” Fund.
